work undertaken in schools so far since November.
3.
Update on Skype / blog /
websites etc.
4.
Distribution and discussion around recipe book.
·
An enterprise project will take place in
each school. Pupils will learn the skills of marketing, publishing and selling
the joint recipe book with a view to understanding the need to cover outgoings.
·
Pupils will plan to produce sufficient
copies to match orders received. Members of local businesses will be encouraged
to support the pupils in achieving their aims. We want to equip the pupils in
their understanding of the world of business.
·
The pupils involved in the enterprise
project will decide where any profits will be sent. Results to be detailed on
the blog.
5.
Discuss any issues surrounding
visit arrangements for final meeting in Denmark.
6. Next activities to be completed:
·
Sporting event to be photographed and
displayed on shared blog
·
Each partner will electronically send a
national emblem in photographic form to the Polish school. These will be made
into a unified photo to be sent to each school by the end of May. This photograph will be made into a jigsaw by
each school for use by the pupils to link our title with cultural diversity.
·
End of project questionnaires will be given
to all pupils and staff. These will be compared to the original questionnaires
in order to analyse the impact and benefit of the project in each school.

other business that partners would like to discuss.
Minutes from Comenius project meeting
Mediha ve Turhan Tansel Ö.E.U.M
Thursday 19th March 2015
Present
Wales,
Germany, Denmark, France, Turkey, Poland, Norway
·
Siân
introduced the meeting – purpose being to recap what has been done and what
still needs to be completed.
·
Siân
extended thanks to Zafer and and all his colleagues for their fabulous
hospitality during our stay and visit to the school. All parties agreed we have
had a fabulous start to our visit, the concert and welcome were great and the
school should be very proud.
·
With
regards to the Comenius project, everything is going well this term and looking
forward to next term.
·
Siân
asked if there were any problems since our last meeting.
o
Still
issues with being unable to Skype - continued issues with France and some
technical issues with other countries. If possible, please try and do one more Skype before the
end of the project. Siân will re-send Skype rota.
o
Bente
has had issues logging onto the blog and adding posts. Please can Thomas H look at this and contact
Bente if there is a problem?
·
Well
done to everyone for continuing to use the blog to update photographs and
activities, it’s lovely to see what is going on in each school.
·
RE:
recipe book. Huge thanks to Bente and her staff for producing the fabulous
recipe book. The idea of the book is to sell to staff and parents where
possible so pupils can experience an enterprise project / running a business.
Siân acknowledged that some school will have difficulty with this so please do
what you can with it.
·
The
idea is not to make money / profits from the sale of the book but if you do,
each school can decide what to do with the money.
·
John
asked about translating the book. Please feel free to do this if you wish.
·
Siân
sent a foreword for the book to Bente but this did not arrive. Siân will send to
all school for inclusion in the recipe book before printing. It outlines the
purpose of the book.
·
Work
to complete between now and end of project:
o
Sporting
activity to be placed on blog
o
Update
on recipe book
o
Re-distribute
questionnaires completed by staff and pupils at the beginning of the project. Siân will re-send
these to all.
o
All
to collect information prior to Denmark visit in order to contribute to final
report.
o
Each
country to send photograph to Poland to make into a collage. Idea being that
each country makes a jigsaw of the collage to reinforce the title of our
project. New date
to be set for this due to France finishing school at the end of May.
o
Siân will send
activity programme to each school with deadline dates and outline of what needs
to be completed.
·
European
Day: Due to the fact we will be in Denmark, we discussed moving European Day
celebrations.
o
Norway
and Denmark celebrations will go ahead despite the visit.
o
Some
schools will celebrate during the week after.
o
Group
decided that all schools will celebrate on a date convenient to their school. Please post details
and photographs on the blog.
o
Please let Siân know
when you will be celebrating.
·
All
countries exchanged CDs made. All exchanged gifts we had brought for our
Turkish hosts.
·
