The ULIS is included in the high school "Jean Guehenno", in a mainstream environment. It is for pupils who present with learning difficulties. Their disability can generate tiredness, slowness and difficulties to learn.
ULIS is intended to insure the continuity of their schooling in a professional high school. It proposes courses based on a personalised project. The aim is to include the pupils in general and/or professional teachings according to each project.

France - We are looking to develop the cultural understanding of our pupils at Jean Guehenno. We want to encourage an understanding of different European cultures for the ULIS students, as well as every student in J Guehenno. We want to develop their communication skills and to share good practice between schools and with our European colleagues. It will facilitate the students to open their minds on global matters or on outside topics. It will allow them to consolidate and develop their personal and social independence. Our staff will benefit from the sharing of good practice and developing a better understanding of education systems across Europe. It will give the students the possibility to share an interesting project with European students.
